The Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) held in Vancouver, British Columbia from April 4-6, this year. The awards was annually held at diverse international destinations, thus, taking the charm of Hindi cinema overseas.Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan unveiled The Times Of India Film Awards (TOIFA) and its trophy at a grand ceremony in Mumbai on Tuesday night.

“Barfi!” stole the show by winning the most number of awards- Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Lead Pair awards at the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) 2013. The film about the deaf and mute boy that failed to get a mention at India’s National Awards, made a clean sweep at the inaugural edition of the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA).

The Times of India Film Awards 2013 celebrations span over a weekend:
4TH APRIL 2013: TOIFA Music Extravaganza at Pacific Coliseum.
5TH APRIL 2013: Screenings of popular Bollywood films in multiplexes across British Columbia.
6TH APRIL 2013: TOIFA Red Carpet and Awards Extravaganza at BC Place.

Best Actor Critics – Irrfan Khan (Paan Singh Tomar)
Best Actress Critics – Deepika Padukone (Cocktail)
Best Debut Director – Gauri Shinde (English Vinglish)
Best Film Critics – Gangs Of Wasseypur
Best Lyrics – Gulzar (Saans, Jab Tak Hai Jaan)
Best Music – Atul and Ajay (Agneepath)
Best Actor in a Comic Role – Abhishek Bachchan (Bol Bachchan)
Best Actor in a Supporting Role – Annu Kapoor (Vicky Donor)
Best Actress in a Supporting Role – Dolly Ahluwalia (Vicky Donor)
Best Debut Male – Ayushman Khurrana (Vicky Donor)
Best Debut Female – Ileana D’Cruz (Barfi!)
Best Actor in a Negative Role – Rishi Kapoor (Agneepath)
Best Playback Singer Male – Sonu Nigam (Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin, Agneepath)
Best Playback Singer Female – Shalmali Kholgade (Pareshaan, Ishaqzaade)

Anurag Basu won the award for the Best Director for his movie ‘Barfi!’.

Sonu Nigam won the Best Playback Singer Male award for the song “Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin” from “Agneepath”.
