Top Bollywood singer Shreya Ghoshal set for Bahrain debut
A TOP Bollywood singer will be entertaining crowds with a live performance for the first time in Bahrain in October.
Shreya Ghosal will mesmerise crowds on October 28 at a major event, which is being organised by Najib Kadalayi in association with SPAC.
She is best known as a playback singer in Hindi films and is popular for singing in many Indian languages including Bengali, Malayalam, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Oriya, Gujarati, Tamil and Telugu.
Her career began when she won the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa contest as an adult.
Her Bollywood playback singing career began with Devdas, for which she received the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer along with Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer and Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent.
Since then there has been no looking back for this young talent as she proved her versatility and talent by singing for almost all the contemporary music directors in India and in a dozen odd Indian languages.
She has performed across the globe and captivated audiences with her charming personality, ability to connect with fans instantly and above all her musical ability.
She has judged other musical contests and aims to perfect Hindustani classical music.
She is the recipient of various national and international awards including the Filmfare awards, The National awards, IIFA awards, Screen awards and a host of others.
She was also regarded with an honour from the State of Ohio by Governor Ted Strickland declaring June 26 as Shreya Ghoshal Day.
Shreya Ghosal will be performing with her 17-member highly professional musical troupe to an audience of 10,000 for the first time Bahrain.
