At only 28, the Bollywood icon has won several National Film Awards and Film Fare Awards for best female singer and has sung in nine different languages! She has also received state awards by Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu industries. With a soft versatile, controlled melodious voice she is the bridge between Lata Mangeshkar and the future generation.
Zooming up the popularity ladder,she has worked with all the top music composers and legends like A.R. Rahman, Ilaiyaraaja, Ismail Darbar and Pritam to name a few. With latest hits like Chikni Chameli, Ooh la la tu hai meri fantasy, Naina Re, Piya O Re Piya, and Teri Meri she has left her contemporaries far behind.
